Another week of Math

We have had another great week with our fairy tales and digits. Our story for number 5 came from out nature stories "Apple Tree" it was more about the seasons and how the tree changes, blooms, grows little apples and finally kids eating apples and dropping their seeds!
We also cut a apple open to see the 5 pointed star, both boys found that amazing!!
Cedars tree with 5 apples left hanging, He added lots of seeds from the core of leftover apples!

"jump down, hop around, put on your hat and head to town" is our 5, as well as our 5 pointed start that he drew a couple times.

For number 7 we enjoyed the classic Fairy Tale "Snow White and the 7 dwarfs" He really enjoyed this story and the repetition of the wicked Queen trying to kill Snow White. We both choose to draw about the story. We have the 7 dwarfs, Snow White and he added the 7 axes they use all day at work mining for coal.

"put on the hat and stand up tall, seven never takes a fall" Cedars 7, and his symbol a triangle and square

We ended the week with our first led water color painting. We read the nature story "Color Painters" for our Thursday nature night, recalled it Friday morning and then did a loose first attempt at a led coloring. This first painting is mine. We started at the beginning of the story with our spring red and yellow color painters visiting the forest. Then added the green of summer. Went back to the kissing of the red during autumn and the purples as well, ending with white for the winter snow.

This is Cedars painting

Orien's painting, more of a independent work!
